Police: Fire that killed mother, baby was intentionally set
Police have confirmed that the fire that killed a Kingsbridge mother and baby Thursday night was intentionally set. The news comes after police arrested Eligidio Lind, of East Harlem. Lind is now facing two counts each of murder, manslaughter and arson. News 12 The Bronx was told that the 21-year-old was the father of the child and the mother's boyfriend. According to the FDNY, the 32-year-old mother was found with stab wounds to the neck and head. Authorities say her baby girl was left inside a bathtub when the fire was set and was rescued, but later died.
