Police search for suspect in brazen church robbery in Norwood
A robber went through great lengths to break into a Norwood church getting away with over $1,000 worth of stolen property earlier this week.
Police say the thief tried different methods of getting into the Church of the Holy Nativity before using a shopping cart and a rope to rappel down a wall into the basement kitchen. Authorities say whoever broke in was able to steal electronics, microphones and a large speaker. A maintenance worker says this is first time anyone has ever broken into the church since he started working there 15 years ago.
Anyone with information about this break-in is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
