SoBRO has been awarded a $5,000 grant to help combat childhood obesity.
The South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation was presented with the check as part of a new program with the McDonald's Nutritional Network. The pilot supports and funds organizations that give back to the community.
SoBRO was the fifth and final organization chosen out of nearly 200 applicants.
