Memorial held for victim of bodega police shooting
Family gathered today for a memorial for 20-year-old Reynaldo Cuevas, who police say was accidentally shot and killed by officers responding to an armed robbery last month.
Cuevas, who was an employee at a bodega at 169th Street and Franklin Avenue, was shot by officers responding to an armed robbery.
Anna Cuevas, Reynaldo's mother, said she is happy to see the community support, but she is not convinced that the shooting was an accident.
The Bronx district attorney is investigating the incident to determine if the shooting was actually accidental.
The three men accused of actually robbing the bodega are expected back in court later this month.
