News 12 has learned that one of the men hospitalized after a shooting at the Forest Houses Wednesday is a New York City Housing Authority employee.

The 54-year-old victim is a custodian at the complex, which is located at 765 East 163rd St. He was hit in the ankle.

The other victim, a 21-year-old resident, was shot in the hip and chest. Both are in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital.

NYCHA released a statement on the shooting, in part saying, "The safety of our employees and residents is our paramount concern and our thoughts are with those hurt. We are cooperating with the authorities as they investigate."
