THE BRONX -

A former Bronx Zoo employee has written a book about her experiences working with animals.

Author Annette Berkovitz outlined her 34-year career at the zoo in her new book, 'Confessions of an Accidental Zoo Curator.'

Berkovitz says she wasn't expecting to get a call from the zoo on the day she was hired - and the rest is history.

Through her experiences working with animals, the daughter of two Holocaust survivors says she hopes her book will inspire others to find the beauty in nature she sees every day.
