BK Nets, Key Food donate food to needy families

Tony Butler, an employee at St. John’s, tells News 12 that his team serves approximately 2,600 meals a day.
Hamilton’s visit was sponsored by the Charity Stripe initiative, a partnership between the Nets and Key Food, in which Key Food committed to making food donations for every free throw made by Nets players this past year.
"The team got over 777 free throws this year,” said Michele Gissi, a representative from Key Food. “And we were able to donate over 8,000 pounds of food, and household products and some cash donations."
