Boy Scouts clean up Martin's Brook Park for Earth Day

Boy Scouts spent the day picking up trash and clearing paths at Martin's Brook Park in Union County Saturday in honor of Earth Day.
Earth Day is a day recognized around the globe every year to address the environmental issues the world is facing.
Martin's Brook Park is unique since it is strictly preserved with nature, which means no benches, paving, ball fields or trash cans.
The Boy Scouts, with adult supervision, sawed dead trees and removed them from hiking paths.
Stray branches and logs were used to line the trails and make them a little more clear to the average hiker. Wood chips and mulch were then spread on the trails to also make sure people know where they're walking. Plastic bags and other debris were also picked up from the park.
