Brighton Beach man missing for nearly two weeks

A Brighton Beach man has been missing for nearly two weeks now, and his family is seeking answers.

Aziz Chirkeev, 20, was last seen April 3 before heading to work.

Chirkeev's mother tells News 12 that the last time she spoke to her son was after work on April 3. He told her he was heading into Manhattan. She says Chirkeev said he would call once he arrived, but never did.

On Tuesday, April 4, she headed to his office in search of clues and filed a missing person's report with police.

The Chirkeev family says that although they have not heard from their son, they did receive an anonymous message through the WhatsApp mobile application, saying that their son is dead.

Chirkeev's mother says that she has suspicions that the message is actually from her son, since there are grammatical errors which resemble his speech.
