Church destroyed by fire celebrates Easter

Members of a Brooklyn church celebrated Easter Sunday in their own house of worship nearly three years after their church was destroyed by a fire.

As News 12 previously reported, a fire destroyed Global Fire International Church's Brownsville location in 2014.

The fire department says the investigation of the incident is now closed without resolution, but the case can be reopened if new evidence or information is presented.

Pastor D. A. Sherron says the congregation has significantly grown in size since the fire.

Global Fire International says it is now reaching millennials by offering additional services for young people.
