2nd annual Palm Sunday parade held in Bushwick

The streets of Bushwick were lined Sunday for the second annual Palm Sunday Parade.

The parade, which was hosted by Bushwick Abbey, started at Maria Hernandez Park.

It included a big brass band as well as Palm Fronds to commemorate Jesus entering Jerusalem.

Organizers say the parade grows along the way as the whole community was encouraged to join the joyful procession.

The parade ended at Episcopal Congregation on Saint Nicholas Avenue, where a church service was held.

Palm Sunday kicks off the most holy week in the Christian calendar.
