Man found beaten outside Midwood building

A man was found badly beaten outside a Midwood building, and police say they need the public's help identifying him.

The unidentified man was discovered Wednesday morning outside of a building at 848 East 15th St. in Brooklyn.

Police say he was unconscious and bleeding from the head.

The man is believed to be in his 40s, is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds.

He was transported to New York Community Hospital in Brooklyn, before being transported to New York Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan where he remains hospitalized with bleeding on the brain, a fractured nose and a broken left clavicle.

Police say the man did not have any identification on him.

Neighbors told News 12 that they have had concerns about the dead end street in which the victim was found. They say surveillance cameras could help prevent a similar attack in the future.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
