2 boys accused of sexually assaulting teen girl

Two teenage boys are accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl with a learning disability inside a Brownsville school bathroom.

Police say the 14- and 15-year-old suspects lured the victim Monday morning at P.S. 165 on Lott Avenue.

The suspects allegedly tricked her into believing her ESL teacher wanted to see her, then pushed her into the bathroom and ordered her to perform sex acts. Police say she complied, and that the victim told them she saw someone holding a cellphone that may have been used to record the encounter, although authorities have not yet found a video.

The 14-year-old is accused of receiving the sex acts and is charged with sex abuse and forcible touching. The 15-year-old allegedly pushed her into the bathroom and faces the same charges, along with the additional charge of unlawful imprisonment.

The Department of Education says the incident was reported immediately and that the families involved have all been notified.
