Housing lottery deadline in Brownsville quickly approaching

The deadline for a new Brownsville affordable housing lottery is quickly approaching.



Eligible Brownsville residents have until May 24 to submit lottery applications.



There are currently 25 available apartments located at 603 Mother Gaston Blvd. The building includes 24-hour front desk security, a computer training center and a community space.



Apartments are available to people earning between $31,989 and $54,360 for a household of four. Twenty one-bedroom apartments have monthly rents of $876. Five two-bedroom apartments have monthly rents of $1,058.



Applicants who are selected can expect to start moving into their new homes by June.
