Man injured in Ocean Hill fire

A fire in Ocean Hill left residents displaced and one person severely injured on Saturday.



The flames sparked around noon inside the three-story home on Chauncey Street.



A 75-year-old man who lived on the second floor rushed back into the building and dragged his wife out to safety.



An eyewitness tells News 12 the man heard screams and immediately rushed back into the building to save others.



The fire department was able to remove that man and others from the building.



They say that man did suffer injuries and was taken to St. John's Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.



Officials say that one other resident suffered minor injuries.



FDNY crews were able to get the fire under control within an hour. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
