St. Patrick’s Day Parade honors Irish heritage in BK
Brooklyn residents lined the streets Sunday for the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which kicked off at 15th Street and Prospect Park West.
The Brooklyn Irish-American parade committee says this year marks the 42nd parade since it began in 1976.
Organizers say the parade is a celebration of the Irish heritage and Irish-Americans' service to this country.
They say this year they are honoring those who fought at the Battle of Brooklyn.
