Neighbors want waterfront park plan slowed down

A vacant lot in Dumbo may soon get a facelift, but some residents say they like it the way it is.

It was once a concert space that hosted the likes of Bon Jovi, but has gone unused for years.

It is slated to become a big public plaza -- with concert space for the summer and ice skating in the winter -- but neighbors want the Brooklyn Bridge Park developers to backtrack and come up with a new plan.

They say they're worried about overcrowding and would prefer a quiet, waterfront green space.

Park officials say the community will have a chance to weigh in on the plan in the future.
