Good Samaritan helps woman free her car from snow
A good Samaritan came to the aid of a woman on Thursday after her car was stuck in the snow in Crown Heights.
The woman said she tried digging her car out Wednesday for an hour, but it wouldn't budge.
Frank Walker chopped through the solid ice under the woman's car and even put cardboard under the tires to allow for them to get traction.
After a couple of rocks back and forth, the woman's car was free.
"Sometimes you have to have a heart and just step in and say 'can I help you?'," says Walker. "So in weather like this, if someone is hurting in this type of weather, try to help them out because you'll get your blessing. You may be stuck one day. You may have a flat tire. The same person that you wound up helping may pop up and be able to help you out."
For those who are still trying to dig out their cars today, it's important to take it easy and make sure you are using your legs and not your back to get snow off the ground.
