Brownsville residents dig out after snowstorm

Residents in Brownsville had the task of digging out their cars and driveways from Tuesday's snowstorm.

Snow that fell in the neighborhood iced over after frigid temperatures swept through the borough overnight.

The Department of Sanitation worked to clear secondary roadways, but residents were still left to dig out their cars.

One man in the neighborhood offered help to those looking to get out. He recommends using a metal shovel for removing large chunks of ice.

Temperatures are expected to remain cold until next week.

There is also a possibility for additional snow and rain on Saturday that could leave 2-3 inches on the roads in some areas.
