Brooklyn digs out from under snow, ice

Several Flatlands neighbors at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue H say they team up to dig out whenever snow blankets their block.



They say they help brush one another's cars off, dig out and even help push cars so no one there gets left behind.



Earlier in the day, snow, sleet and ice were stinging Brooklyn residents. But by mid-afternoon, plows had cleared many roads around the borough.



The National Weather Service canceled its blizzard warning around 8:15 a.m.
