Video shows man rummaging through coat pockets inside Brooklyn synagogue

Police have released a video of a man they say rummaged through coats inside a Brooklyn synagogue and stole cellphones and other items.



The incident was captured on video March 3 inside of the Congregation Verezky Synagogue on Avenue L around 11:15 a.m.



Police say the man can be seen removing cellphones from coats that were hanging on a rack in the lobby.



The suspect got away with three cellphones, an iPod and five religious articles.



He was seen leaving the synagogue on a mountain bike.
