Forecast: 1 to 2 inches of snow expected for BK

Snow is impacting the region and will continue to fall late this afternoon, according to News 12 meteorologists, with forecasts showing up to 1 to 2 inches of snow in some parts of the area.

The National Weather service issued a winter weather advisory for New York City from 10 p.m. Thursday through 2 p.m. Friday.

Wind is whipping wet snow around which is causing half-mile visibility, according to News 12 meteorologists.

Once the snow stops, temperatures are expected to be very cold over the weekend, mostly in the low teens and 20s and the area could see a deep freeze effect tonight.
