Police: Suspect beat man, yelled slurs on Eastern Parkway
Police are searching for a man accused of brutally assaulting a random stranger and yelling slurs at him.
Police say the 28-year-old victim was walking on Eastern Parkway when he bumped into his attacker. The suspect allegedly punched and kicked the victim so severely that he had to be hospitalized.
Police say the suspect also yelled anti-gay and anti-Asian slurs at the victim, which has caused the Hate Crimes Task Force to get involved.
The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall with short, curly black hair and a tapered goatee. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
