A bicyclist was struck by an NYPD cruiser that was responding to a call for a separate incident Monday.
The incident happened on Morgan Avenue and Stagg Street in Williamsburg around 2 a.m.
Police say the cruiser had its lights and sirens on when it collided with a bicyclist headed the wrong way on the street.
The man was transported to Elmhurst Hospital in critical but stable condition.
Officials say the officers were responding to an assault call just blocks away when the bicyclist was struck.
