CONEY ISLAND -

Many residents headed to Coney Island to enjoy the warm temperatures.

People at the beach were prepared with sunglasses, bottles of water and plenty of sunscreen.

In Red Hook, residents were out walking pets, picnicking, sightseeing and taking in the sun.

Temperatures are expected to dip into the low-70s overnight before climbing back into the upper-80s Friday.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper-60s, although there is a chance of showers Sunday evening.
