Free Wi-Fi expansion headed to Red Hook this summer

A community that was hit hard during Superstorm Sandy will soon be connected in a whole new way.
Free local Wi-Fi will be expanding to local businesses in the Red Hook area thanks to a grant from the local Economic Development Corporation.
Grindhaus, a restaurant on Van Brunt Street, is one of the first businesses to receive the free service.
The owner says she is very excited since she is constantly having problems with her current service.
"My Wi-Fi, cheekily enough, it's called not working," says Erin Norris, who owns Grindhaus.
Norris says she believes the internet will be great for both customers and for her business.
"I'm fully reliant on Wi-Fi to get business done," she says.
Red Hook initiative is expected to build the network this summer
