The U.S. Marines held a special Marine Day event at Prospect Park Saturday as part of Fleet Week.

Now in its 29th year, Fleet Week New York is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services.

It was the first time the event, which is usually held in Manhattan was held in Brooklyn.

The festivities included special vehicles displays, bomb sniffing dogs, performances by the silent drill platoon and interactive displays.

Service members say it's unique to get to spend the holiday weekend sharing stories with New Yorkers.
