A fire damaged a three-story home in Georgetown, leaving at least three families displaced.
The flames sparked just before 11 a.m. inside the home on Bergen Court near East 72nd Street.
The fire chief says the fire spread up into the attic as well as the second and third floors.
Authorities say no one was seriously injured but one firefighter was brought out on a stretcher.
The Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what sparked the flames.
The Red Cross is helping the residents who have been displaced.
