The New York City Emergency Management Department is launching a new phase of the "Know Your Zone" hurricane awareness campaign.
The advertisements encourage New Yorkers to find out whether they live in one of the city's six hurricane evacuation zones.
They feature real emergency response volunteers from Brooklyn.
The campaign hopes that commuters on their way to or from work take a minute to learn their evacuation zone.
"It's important that New Yorkers, Brooklynites know their zones," said Emergency Management Commissioner Joe Esposito. "Generally it is going to be Coney Island, Red Hook, areas like Bergen Beach."
