Bronx residents braved the outdoors Tuesday despite warmer-than-usual temperatures in the 90s.
Once temperatures cooled later in the day, plenty of people packed Van Cortlandt Park for the New York Philharmonic's concert series. The event was hosted by the New York Philharmonic and NYC Parks.
The night's main performances consisted of dances from "West Side Story" and "An American in Paris." The audience was encouraged to participate in a joint performance of "Goin' Home" from Dvorak's New World Symphony.
New York Philharmonic concerts will continue this summer at Central Park, Cunningham Park, Prospect Park and Staten Island.
