The community of Brownsville is once again honoring the man known as the unofficial mayor by hosting the 5th Annual Film Festival.
The festival is a way for residents to remember Gregory 'Jocko' Jackson, a man known for transforming Brownsville through his work at the area rec center.
"He made sure that if somebody needed something he would always give it to them. He would never let a kid go without," says Carmen Jackson.
Student filmmakers showcase their work at the festival. Residents say it's a way for kids who never met Jackson to remember him and to keep doing good for their community.
