A Bronx teen has written a crime novel inspired by his own nightmares.
Vincent Caligone, 15, of the Bronx, recently penned the novel and says he gained inspiration from terrible nightmares he was having.
He says as he wrote the first draft, his nightmares became more intense.
However, once the book was finished it was more like a dream.
His novel, 'The Golden Killer,' tells the story of a detective looking for his wife who has been abducted.
Caligone's parents were thrilled and very supportive through the whole process.
Unfortunately, his father tragically died shortly after the book was complete.
"He was the first one to review my book on Amazon.com," Caligone says.
It was the last book his father ever read, and that's something very special, Caligone says.
"Knowing that my book was the last book he read, it’s just very special."
