Video released of Jewish bus torching suspect
Police have released surveillance video of the man they believe set a Jewish bus on fire in Brooklyn.
The incident happened Monday around 12 a.m. when the bus was parked in its usual spot in Crown Heights, according to officials.
Video shows the suspect walking near the bus on the night of the incident.
The bus is known to many in the community as the Mitzvah Bus, a makeshift art studio owned by Lev Schieber.
Schieber says the bus he uses as an art studio also doubles as transportation for his children and family.
The bus has also appeared in a music video for artist Benny Friedman that garnered 2 million views on YouTube.
Police are not classifying the incident as a hate crime, however, they do believe the fire was set intentionally.
Schieber has raised $3,000 through a crowd-funding website to replace the bus.
