Peapod by Stop and Shop’s trucks across New York City will feature designs created by residents of Brooklyn.
In April, Peapod announced a contest looking for the best designs for their vehicles for the first time ever. They proposed the contest as a way become more involved with the communities they serve.
Three of the winners are Brooklyn artists, but none of them are natives of the borough. The three grew up in Puerto Rico, Italy and Virginia, but say there were all inspired by their new home.
The winners received a $750 gift card for groceries. Peapod also has a ‘truck-spotting’ contest, where residents that take pictures of the trucks and post them on social media sites are eligible for prizes.
