The NYPD on Tuesday took part in National Night Out, an annual event intended to improve police-community relations.
The 81st Precinct Community Council put on the 34th annual event at P.S. 308. It featured food, vendors, music and activities for kids.
Residents say the event was a perfect way to get community members out of their houses to mingle with their neighbors, including law enforcement in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The 60th Precinct held its event in Coney Island. It also was complete with food, drinks and activities for the whole family.
Millions of people each year take part in National Night Out in thousands of communities across the United States.
