Police: 2 men injured in Brownsville shooting

BROOKLYN -

Police say two men were hospitalized Sunday after being injured by gunshots in Brownsville.

They say the incident happened just after 6:30 a.m. by New Lots Avenue outside the Plaza East Residences.

According to police, a 47-year-old man and a 44-year-old man were struck by gunshots while standing in front of the residence. They say both men were grazed by bullets in the face, while one also was struck in the right leg.

Officials say the victims were rushed to Brookdale Hospital and are expected to be OK.

Police say they are investigating the incident.
