A new egg restaurant in Williamsburg is hatching up delicious dishes to keep their customers happy.
Sarah Schneider opened the Egg Shop on N. 8th Street three years ago, and says her family has roots in Brooklyn.
"Brooklyn is really special; my husband was born and raised in Brooklyn; my dad is born and raised in Brooklyn, so it sort of felt like a natural progression," she says.
She has been scrambling to come up with cool dishes for the area—egg dishes, like poached burrata.
"The cool thing about this dish is that the burrata then resembles a big poached egg, which is why we call it a poach burrata. And you don't expect it when you cut it open, the egg yolk runs from the inside and it looks pretty cool," Chef Nick Korbee says.
Korbee says their menu also features traditional egg dishes like steak and eggs.
"Eggs all day all night is our motto and a lot of times people forget we do amazing creative dishes that aren't just necessarily breakfast foods," Schneider says.
