Brooklyn Public Library celebrates National Dog Day
The Brooklyn Public Library hosted a day filled with fun for man’s best friend as a part of National Dog Day.
Events for the dogs included a dog fashion show, pools to cool off in and the company of dozens of other canine friends.
The day also brought dogs up for adoption for those looking to bring in their first dog or to add to their family.
Also featured were education assistance dogs who help children that are nervous to read or speak aloud.
National Dog Day was founded in 2004 with the purpose of encouraging ownership of all breeds of dogs.
The National Dog Day Foundation aims to rescue 10,000 dogs each year.
