Man arrested in connection to fatal stabbing

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Greenpoint man last month.
Gary Correa is charged with second-degree murder after police say he stabbed George Caroll, 42, in the back on Aug. 18. 
Caroll's wife says her and her husband were walking home when they got into a dispute with a group of young men. She says as they continued to walk away from them, one of the men chased them and stabbed George before running off.
Correa has 11 prior arrests, the most recent of which coming in May when he was accused of stealing a car, and was charged with grand larceny.
Other prior charges include robbery with a firearm and possession of a marijuana.
