Hurricane relief donations are still pouring into Assemblyman Felix Ortiz's office in Sunset Park as the state lawmaker explores plans to help Irma victims in the Caribbean and Florida.
Many of the supplies going to Ortiz, whom News 12 also visited Wednesday, are destined for Puerto Rico.
After the first story aired, the assemblyman says donations increased.
"That's how we got the truck," he says.
"This is a beautiful, humbling thing. People come together to bake a cake out of crumbs," another volunteer adds.
