Officer OK after pulled-over vehicle takes off, drags him

A man is under arrest after injuring a police officer in Flatlands Saturday night.
The incident happened just after 6 p.m. when officers tried to pull over a van they say was making illegal pick-ups.
When they approached the van, it sped off, dragging an officer with it.
The 29-year-old driver, Matthew Bryan, jumped out of the car. He is now in police custody at Kings County Hospital.
He faces multiple charges including reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and driving an unlicensed vehicle.
The officer is expected to be OK.
