A frustrated landlord in Bergen Beach says he is worried about flooding in front of the home that he rents out to tenants.
Neil Cudjo says the road in front of 6908 Avenue l is severely unleveled. He says that causes the flooding in front of his rental property, even though there is a catch basin.
Cudjo says the standing water has been there for a long time but that it has not rained in over a week. His tenants are constantly complaining, and he says a man fell while trying to cross the unleveled road. Cudjo cites mosquitoes as another potential danger of the standing water.
The landlord says that he even bought a machine from Home Depot that takes two hours to drain the water.
A Department of Transportation spokesperson tells News 12 that the stretch of Avenue l is being considered for reconstruction in the future.
