At a time when many Hispanics are worrying about their future in the U.S., Hispanic students at Saint Francis College say it's a good time to band together.
News 12 visited the Latin American Society club at the college during Hispanic Heritage Month.
Click here for the extended interview with the college's dean of students, Dr. Jose Rodriguez.
During Hispanic Heritage Month, the students will be getting together for meetings, to watch Hispanic movies, listen to music and even head to a few museums to learn more about their roots.
Nearly a quarter of the students at Saint Francis College are Hispanic.
To recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, Altice USA, News 12's parent company, has also launched a student essay contest. Students could win a $1,500 scholarship or an iPad mini. Click here for details.
