An East Flatbush resident says no one has come to fix her wall after a bullet came through it during the fatal shooting of an emotionally disturbed man.
The family of Dwayne Jeune says they called 911 after the usually nonviolent 32-year-old refused to take his medication. They say the police didn't provide the help Jeune needed.
Charmaine Goodine lives in the apartment with her 14-year-old daughter, Lasaunti, who was the only one inside when the shots were fired next door.
The family says while they're thankful they're both safe, the hole haunts them.
"Imagine if I had been sitting here and the bullet came straight through," Lasauntu says. "It could have been my head."
NYPD officers tell News 12 that the investigation into Jeune's death is ongoing.
