Police: Stabbing suspect barricaded herself in Adee Ave. apartment
Reports of a stabbing turned into a hostage negotiation in Eastchester Thursday morning, when police say they found a woman holding her boyfriend and three kids inside an Adee Avenue apartment.
A neighbor called to report a stabbing on the building's fifth floor around 8 a.m., according to authorities. Later, police said they found it was a domestic dispute and not a stabbing.
But when police arrived, they say the female suspect refused to open the door. After hours of negotiations with the NYPD's hostage negotiation team and tactical assistance response unit, she let them in.
Everyone was safe, police say.
They charged the woman with endangering the welfare of a child. The kids are ages 8, 10 and 12.
