Officials say a bicyclist was fatally struck by a car Saturday morning in East Flatbush, and authorities are searching for the driver.

Police say the 30-year-old victim was hit around 8:30 a.m. on Nostrand and Church avenues. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Witnesses say the driver was speeding.

Traffic was diverted in the area for several hours as investigators remained at the scene.

Police say they are now looking for a silver two-door Infiniti with possible damage to the front windshield. They say the car was last seen going westbound on Erasmus Street.
