Security is expected to be tighter for tonight's wild-card game at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx amid the mass shooting that claimed 59 lives in Las Vegas.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the game against the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the Yankees official Twitter account expressed the team’s condolences toward victims of the Las Vegas shooting by saying, "We are deeply saddened by the tragedy in Las Vegas. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted."
First baseman Garrett Cooper also tweeted, "There are no words for such hate and violence. Thoughts and prayers goes out to all involved in the horrific shootings in Las Vegas."
The Yankees will take on the Twins in the American League wild-card game at Yankee Stadium beginning at 8 p.m.
