Cheddar Afternoon Business Report 10/11: Coach, Disney, Tamagotchis

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Coach is rebranding itself as Tapestry effective Oct. 31. The company says the new name will better reflect the variety of its unique brands. Coach recently bought Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman.

Disney is reportedly signing deals with Hollywood movie studios to get films on its "Movies Anywhere" service, which lets customers buy movies and store them digitally to watch anywhere

According to Bloomberg, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures will support Disney's service instead of competitor Ultra Violet.

The digital pocket pet Tamagotchi is returning to the United States for its 20th anniversary. The egg-shaped toy will be smaller than older versions but is meant to be nostalgic.
