BROOKLYN -

Two Coney Island businesses were destroyed by a fire early Saturday morning, according to officials.

The flames broke out in the back of a bodega on Mermaid Avenue just before 6 a.m., ripping through the neighboring Famous Rotisserie and Grill restaurant and sending smoke into the apartments above.

It took more than 100 firefighters two hours to contain the fire.

Officials say six minor injuries were sustained.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
