BROOKLYN -

Police are investigating a pair of mysterious deaths in the borough.

They say a father and son were found dead after going outside for a smoke early Sunday morning.

The 44-year-old and 22-year-old were reportedly at a family party in a Greenwood home when it happened.

Investigators say the two men excused themselves around 3 a.m. Both of their wives went searching for them when they did not return.

That's when the women found the men unconscious in front of the building.

They were taken to Lutheran Hospital where they later died.

Police suspect the men died of a heroin overdose.
